There I was, lying
With my arms and legs
Sprawled
All over the asphalt sidewalk.
I looked upon the sky,
My eyes wide open
As if
With sheer amazement.
I was numb, as
People
Passing by looked at me
With curiosity,
Cause I was not dead,
Not yet.
I was simply amazed, cause
I was
Betrayed!
With my arms and legs
Sprawled
All over the asphalt sidewalk.
I looked upon the sky,
My eyes wide open
As if
With sheer amazement.
I was numb, as
People
Passing by looked at me
With curiosity,
Cause I was not dead,
Not yet.
I was simply amazed, cause
I was
Betrayed!

I liked this poem, especially
"Cause I was not dead,
Not yet." There is a kind of amazement propicious to the atmosphere of the poem and the photograph chosen complements it!
