Aurora Security Fix for Internet Explorer

With the Operation Aurora, the Chinese hackers pointed out a preciously undiscovered security hole in Microsoft Internet Explorer. This security hole is used to gain unauthorized access to data belonging to a couple of targeted individuals. And this applies for several major versions of Internet Explorer.

Microsoft has since tried to downplay the significance of the security hole, but it was undoubtedly a serious issue for the company, and now it’s finally issued a fix.

The security patch updates all supported versions of Internet Explorer, which includes IE 5.01 (if you’re still using that version, though, you’re probably asking for trouble) to IE 8. If your browser wasn’t automatically updated, you can download the patch here.
