So finally Steve Jobs let the cat out of the bag when he revealed the much anticipated Apple tablet, christened iPad. I am sorry, actually it's the Apple iPad (it's an Apple product so lets give it some respect). It would be available this April.
The iPad would be available in three different models: 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB, priced at $499, $599, and $699, respectively. Add on another $130 if you want a device with both WiFi and 3G. As for service, the device comes WiFi ready, but there are also two 3G plans being offered through AT&T: one includes up to 250MB of data per month for $14.99, and the other is an unlimited plan for $29.99. Both include free usage of AT&T WiFi hotspots. There’s no contract to sign — you can cancel any time you want.
The technical specs for the iPad are an Apple A4 1GHz chip, 16 – 64 GB of Flash storage, Bluetooth 2.1, 802.11n, 10 hours of battery life, 9.7 inch IPS LED backlit LCD, Accelerometer and Compass, 3G UMTS/HSPDA and GSM/EDGE data (optional), Assisted GPS and Digital Compass (3G version only), 3.5mm headphone jack, VGA out support or AV out via dock connector and converter cable, Speaker, microphone and 30-pin connector and full multi-touch support.
The iPad can be held in any direction you want. It looks like a giant iPod. It has a virtual keyboard. It has Google Maps, and of course is web-enabled. It’s lightning fast. YouTube can be watched in HD. The Demo of Star Trek was pretty impressive, but it’s not widescreen, though. You slide to unlock. The music player looks like a new version of iTunes. It also contains the Software iBook, iWork etc.
The accessories includes Keyboard dock, and Protective case.
So do let me know if you are planning to buy an iPad. And if you are then don't forget to let me know how well it's working.

Having the highest revenue this year, Apple is really going great, having one product after another announced in a way that they are unbeatable in competitions. I like the new touch pad announcement.
I already waiting for this gadget.
anyway, can I upgrade the storage..? from 16GB to 32GB..?
This is how they change the technology look. A wonderful device with good functionality, design, software and hardware. And big thing is, it is affordable.
It is interesting to me that AT&T is planning to offer a plan for $14.99. This is lower than anything I've seen before as far a a data plan from a large carrier.
I would be glad to see this become the beginning of a trend.
yes i read this also on blogsearch.google.com it was great i think it will hits again on market.
The iPad looks pretty interesting, but definitely too 'gimmicky' for me. once the keyboard is showing, there is barely any screen left.
i must say one more innovation from Apple!
i saw steve jobs presentation of the ipad at tech crunch!
good!
a friend of mind said that this is only good for watching p*rn and sharing it with friends but I disagree. the ipad is gonna be another Apple revolution
Sounds very revolutionary to me.
hey - heres an idea Apple - rather than enter the world of gimmicks and toys, why dont you spend a little more time sorting out your pathetically expensive and crap server line up?
or are you really aiming to become a glorified consumer gimmicks firm?
I have to admit that the iPad is another great invention from Apple. I am glad that Steve lived to see the success...
