Bad Bad Google, Have you Updated the PR?

Google seems to be tweaking their PR algorithm. This has led to the increase in the frequency of their Page Rank update where the last update had happend just 2 months back and the latest one has already been started. This weekend many blogs have once again lost their PR. This blog The Chronicles of R tossed in the PR race from PR 3 to PR 2. Although some sites have gained in PR too. There are various other examples of Google PageRank change in this latest Google Page RankUpdate, September 2008. Previous year there was a gap of 6 months between two major Google Page Rank Update and the big one took place in January 2008 Google Page Rank Update.

Somehow it all fits in when you read what Matt Cutts, the leading software engineer in Google who is also behind the success of Google Moderator, has to say about this. He placed a comment on his blog a few days ago, he stated that "I wouldn’t be surprised if new PageRanks started showing up this weekend or so".

But still, Google has not failed to show some link love on it's 10th birthday. Here you can see The Chronicles of R already being featured on the Official Google Blog for it's article on Google Birthday Bash.
